Hatfield & McCoy Feud headed to Great Britain

West Virginia Author Day set for this Saturday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia Author Day will be held at Morgantown Barnes & Noble Booksellers this Sat., Mar. 30th, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Several regional and national bestselling books will be featured during the activity, and those set to appear will include award-winning authors F. Keith Davis, Geoffrey Cameron Fuller, and Michael Knost.

Nine authors to appear at book event at Barnes & Noble on Sat., Mar. 23rd

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A mega-book release party and author appearing will take place this Sat., Mar. 23rd, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., at Morgantown Barnes & Noble Booksellers. The event is being held at the local bookstore in conjunction with the Morgantown launch of the new Woodland Press anthology, entitled, Fed from the Blade.

Authors appearing at the event will include Cat Pleska, Geoffrey Cameron Fuller, Frank Larnerd, Kathleen Furbee, Patricia Patteson, Joshua Robinson, Diane Tarantini, Frances Van Scoy, and Mary Lucille DeBarry.

Woodland Press increases distribution potential

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Woodland Press, an independent book publishing firm in Logan County, has signed overseas wholesale distribution agreements with Ingram Book Group this week.

Specifically, the southern West Virginia micro press has signed individual contracts that will add new distribution channels for the Mountain State book publisher in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and Germany, respectively.

Novel about Hatfield feudist nominated for Ben Franklin Award

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — A novel by a Mountain State book publisher has been nominated for a prestigious national award, the IBPA Ben Franklin Award. The book, "The Devil's Son: Cap Hatfield and the End of the Hatfield and McCoy Feud," is published by Woodland Press of Chapmanville, and penned by Anne Black Gray, a West Virginia native who now resides in Los Angeles, California. A foreword for the novel is written by award-winning author Geoffrey Cameron Fuller.
