PARKERSBURG, W.Va. - The Gallery, at Grand Central Mall, will host Mountain State Author Days on Saturday, Nov. 26th, from 1 - 4 p.m., using the occasion, officially the second full day of the Christmas shopping season, to focus on West Virginia literary talent and to showcase their expanding regional book collection. The store will also be observing Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.

Local Halloween event includes free scary book giveaway

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. - In preparation for Halloween weekend, an eerie winged apparition, Mothman, will make its frightening return to the Mountain State—at least in book form—this Thursday.

State writer, editor and internationally recognized Bram Stoker Award-winner Michael Knost, who also happens to be a resident of Logan County, will be participating in a free book giveaway at two local businesses—Thornhill GM Superstore and Family Discount Pharmacy—as he promotes the launch of his latest book, "The Mothman Files," published by Woodland Press, LLC.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Woodland Press authors will be appearing at the Mountain State's largest book event this Sat. and Sun., Oct. 22nd and 23rd. They will greet the public and sign copies of their respective books at the West Virginia Book Company booth, at the WV Book Festival, Charleston Civic Center.
